High school students invited to apply for Buck International Global Leadership Program

Posted

Applications are now being accepted for Pearl S. Buck International’s Global Leadership Program.

The Global Leadership Program, for high school students from grades nine through 11, is designed to help teens and young adults become better students, college applicants and global citizens. Participants put their newly acquired skills to use working collaboratively on a service project of their choice, with proceeds donated toward Pearl S. Buck International’s mission and work.

Teens will spend one full week learning about the humanitarian, educational, and cross-cultural legacy of Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Pearl S. Buck as well as how to collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with their peers. During the second week of the program, students will use and refine these skills to conceive, develop, and implement a service project.

Summer session dates are: Week One (Your Choice): June 10-14 or June 17-21, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 pm; Week Two (Service Project Week): July 15-19, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The application deadline is May 17.
