GNI Galleries to feature works by Joy Kreves, Gallery 14 members

Posted

A new exhibition will be on view at the GNI Galleries, featuring the works of local artist Joy Kreves and the photographers of Gallery 14, from Feb. 7 to April 30, at the galleries at the Global Neurosciences Institute.

Join in for a public opening reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7.

Kreves’ works, called “Fierce Caryatids,” are a series of photographic banners of women holding her Distressed Forest sculptures. The series is Kreves’ reaction to the current state of the environment and the effects of people’s addiction to plastics on the Earth. These photographic works celebrate the resilience of humans and the Earth, while drawing attention to the damage humans are doing.

“Vision Through the Lens” is an exhibition of fine art photography by the members of Gallery 14 in Hopewell, N.J. The works on display feature a wide range of photographic styles and techniques, from alternative processes such as platinum-palladium to contemporary digital imaging.

The GNI Galleries are located at 10 Route 31 North, Pennington, N.J.
