Friends of the Riegelsville Public Library Flea Market is back

Posted

The Friends of the Riegelsville Public Library Flea Market returns to the library grounds, outside the Borough of Riegelsville/Library building, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17; admission, as always, is free.

Approximately 20 vendors will set up on the lawn south of the borough/library building. Included will be: antiques, crafts, household items, toys, jewelry, furniture, and new children’s books.

The cost for each space is $15 for the day. There is no rain date. Call Nancy McEvoy at 908-319-3706 for information about reserving a space as a vendor.

A food tent, along with tables and chairs, will be set up on the west lawn. Offering will be muffins and coffee in the morning, followed by BBQ beef sandwiches, hot dogs with condiments, spicy crimson coleslaw, chips, cookies, soft drinks, and water.

Parking is available in the borough/library parking lot, along the Union Cemetery wall and at marked areas in the west lawn. There are restrooms inside the borough/library building for vendor and attendee use.

The Friends’ Flea Market is a fundraiser, with all proceeds from space rentals and food sales going toward The Friends of the Riegelsville Public Library. The nonprofit Friends group has given more than $25,000 in combined cash and non-cash donations to help support the Riegelsville Public Library, as a result of its fundraising efforts.

Terri Randolph, director of the Riegelsville Public Library, said, “Over the years, the Friends have purchased a new stair lift chair, a bike rack, air conditioner units, books, museum passes, and funded programs for our patrons’ benefit. The staff and Riegelsville Library Board members value their hard work and dedication to our library.”
