Posted

Fisherman’s Mark in Lambertville, N.J., a leader in responsive programs and services promoting stability, health and education within the communities it serves, received a contribution in the amount of $10,000 from business partner, Veolia.

“The funding from Veolia will help guide struggling families with assistance with their water and wastewater bills through its nonprofit program, Veolia Cares and federally funded Low Income Household Water Assistance Program,” said Jennifer Williford, executive director of Fisherman’s Mark.

The Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP), is a federally funded program administered by individual states to help low-income households with past due water and wastewater bills.

“With this generous support, coupled with our compassionate social program service team, our local community will be able to better engage in and make proper application for temporary, essential water financial assistance,” Williford added.

Williford said that residents should contact Fisherman’s Mark for more information or to make an appointment with a social worker to learn more about the programs.
