Fire prevention a family affair

Posted

National Fire Prevention Week this year ran from Oct. 8-14 and Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company marked the occasion by inviting local families to visit its firehouse on Oct. 12.

There, they learned a little bit about how firefighters work to keep the community safe and how they can help prevent fires in their own homes.

During the open house at Station 22 on Langhorne-Yardley Road, children were invited to explore the firetrucks, try on the volunteers’ gear and get photos taken with some special guests: Marshall from PAW Patrol and Elmo and Zoe from Sesame Place.
