F. June Cressman

F. June Cressman, of East Rockhill Township, Pa., passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at her home. She was 93.

She was the loving wife of the late Russell D. Cressman until his passing on Jan. 26, 2017.

Born in Perkasie, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Lola P. (Lawrence) Mumbauer. She was a 1947 graduate of Sell-Perk High School, Perkasie.

Mrs. Cressman began her professional career working as a secretary for the former First Savings Bank of Perkasie. In 1992, after 42 years, she retired as Vice President.

She was a longtime member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, Perkasie, where she served on the Church Consistory and taught Sunday school. Mrs. Cressman was an active member and former Secretary of the Perkasie Historical Society.

Mrs. Cressman enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining. She kept her door open and welcomed everyone. She could often be found outside on her swing sitting in the sunshine. She loved reading, completing word searches, and cutting out the particularly funny Family Circus comics. She enjoyed making her homemade mint iced tea , and spoiling her grandkids by serving ice cream for breakfast, as long as they ate a piece of toast.

She is survived by two sons, Michael R. White and his wife Lucille, and Randy S. White and his wife Sharon, all of Perkasie; three stepchildren, Kenneth L. Cressman and his companion Linda, of Perkasie, Shirley C. Metzger and her husband C. Lee Jr., of Perkasie, and Judith A. Koenig, of Souderton, Pa.; four grandchildren, Kristin Gilliland and her husband Christopher, Gary White and his wife Amy, Monika Lentz and her fiance Leigh Steele, and Megan Watkins and her husband Brent; six step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dolores “Susie” M. Meyer and her husband Ray, of Quakertown, Pa.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Mumbauer.

Her funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, 110 N. Sixth St., Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Union Cemetery, Perkasie.

Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, Pa.
