“Everybody Shows” continues at Studio Route 29

Posted

In celebration of one year in existence, Studio Route 29 presents a survey exhibition, highlighting work from each artist at the studio, running through Oct. 7.

Studio Route 29 is a facilitated creative studio for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities located in Frenchtown, N.J.

The studio supports individuals to explore and develop a creative practice; the community space which brings people together in play and creative spirit; and the gallery celebrates, represents, and advocates the artistic and cultural production of the studio and community space.

Artists at Studio Route 29 work in a broad range of materials, including painting, printmaking, video, music, weaving, fashion, drawing, assemblage, puppetry, and beyond. This show focuses on works on paper, with a few exceptions, and represents the diversity of style, materiality, interests, and personal aesthetic language of artists at the studio.

Everybody Shows features recent works by BJ Armour, Rich Auth, Theo Baransky, Jeff Bill, Will Blaikie, Sean Bodine, EJ Collins, Bill Eppinger, Diego Horberg, Katie House, Kathy Kovacs, Sam Leatherdale, Michael Mangino, Mick McDonough, Steven Nedozsytko, Alex Ocampo, Tim Roehm, Daisy Rodriguez, Hailey Schumacher, Bernadette Simone, Karyn Tettemer, Christian Turner, and Daniel Urrego.

Studio Route 29’s Beauty Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
