Epstein Foundation to provide matching grants for AHTN fundraiser

Posted

It’s been a very difficult time for the vulnerable population in Bucks County. Individuals who have been evicted, are fleeing domestic violence or can no longer stay with family members or friends for a variety of reasons are in need of emergency shelter.

The nonprofit group Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need (AHTN) is seeking funds to help with temporary emergency shelter for individuals and families experiencing a housing crisis. If these individuals and families call The Housing Link, they will be referred to AHTN to provide the funds needed to provide a one-night motel stay for individuals and couples and a two-night stay for families with children at The Rodeway Inn in Bristol.

During their stay at the motel, all family members will receive meals delivered by the Calvary Baptist Church’s food pantry. This safe haven allows these individuals and families time to get an assessment done on their situation to determine what resources are available to them.

To support this temporary emergency shelter mission, AHTN has announced a fundraising goal of $15,000. The Epstein Humanitarian Fund has agreed to match funds raised dollar for dollar up to $5,000. This is an opportunity for AHTN to be able to raise the money needed for emergency shelter so these individuals and families are not forced to live in their car or sleep in a tent in an encampment.

If you can donate to this mission, go to AHTN’s website (AHTN.org) and click on the green donate button on the homepage. If you prefer to send a check, send to: AHTN, PO Box 184, Fairless Hills, PA, 19030.
