Embark on a culinary journey to Ecuador at Villa Milagro Vineyards

Posted

Let your taste buds travel to Ecuador at Villa Milagro Vineyards when dinner is served as the sun sets over the vineyard, Saturday, May 18.

Chef Wilson Patiño, owner of Rapaen Cuisine in Phillipsburg, N.J., will pair recipes from his homeland with the vineyard’s wines.

Trained at the Escuelas de Cucina, Canadian School in Riobamba, Ecuador then at Le Cordon Bleu in Mira Flores, Peru, Patiño later returned to his first alma mater as a culinary instructor. Wanting to further his international experience, he and wife, Caren, moved to the U.S. where he worked at major restaurants in New York, Fort Lauderdale and most recently at Emeril Lagasse’s Chop House at the Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehmen.

In 2023, Patiño decided to focus his training and skills to bring Ecuadorian cuisine to Phillipsburg where he and his family reside. Rapaen Cuisine at 62 Main Street offers a culinary tour of traditional dishes, prepared by this classically trained chef. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Dinner at Villa Milagro Vineyards, located on the banks of the Delaware River in Phillipsburg, N.J., will feature several typical dishes served. Call 908-995-2072.
