Rugby notes: 4 for 4

Posted

The Doylestown Rugby Academy junior boys team, consisting of eighth and ninth graders, defeated Conestoga Rugby 28-7 to claim the Coventry Wildcat 7s tournament championship on July 29. Doylestown went undefeated on the day and dominated its opponents – topping Western Suburbs Rugby 33-0 and Minutemen Rugby 36-7 in pool play before downing Conestoga in the final – to close out the summer 7s season. Doylestown played in four tournaments this summer and won the championship of each. This follows an undefeated state championship season for the juniors in Spring 15s rugby. Doylestown Rugby is planning a tour to Florida in spring 2024 and a tour to Ireland in spring 2025.
