Doylestown Rotary gives voice to the voiceless

Posted

The Voices for the Voiceless concert, coming up on Oct. 14 in Doylestown Township, is a fundraiser dedicated to combating human trafficking, led by Class Act, a band composed of area music teachers.

Hosted by the Doylestown Rotary Club, the concert will be held at C&N Amphitheater in Doylestown Township’s Central Park from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“People have been hearing more and more about the growing global human trafficking crisis, but many local residents remain unaware that human trafficking, both sexual and labor, happens every day right here in Bucks County,” Rotary board member Shawn Herron said in a statement. “As a community we cannot stay silent.”

Tickets are $15 online at https://voices.dryp.org/. They can also be purchased for $20 at the gate (maximum $40 per family). All proceeds will benefit victims of human trafficking and assist with creating awareness.
