Doylestown Historical Society to present Rosie the Riveter

Posted

Join the Doylestown Historical Society to witness and relive the recollections of history with Mae Krier, one of the original Rosie the Riveters of WWII.

The presentation of DHS’s newest video in the “Salute to Service” video history series will take place at the Doylestown Senior Center, 700 N. Shady Retreat Road, Doylestown, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. March 16.

Krier participated in a cause much greater than she could imagine during WWII, and this video resonates with her passion and her adamant belief that, “there was a country to save.”

As Krier approaches her 98th birthday, on March 21, it is the date now recognized as National Rosie the Riveter Day, after she spent years advocating for “Rosie’s recognition” with the hope of empowering all girls to believe in their own powerful potential.

Tickets, at $20 in advance, include light refreshments, wine and appetizers. Ample parking is available.

Tickets can be purchased at: https://bit.ly/3UiDAN6 or by calling DHS during open hours at 215-345-9430. Remaining sets may be purchased at the door for $30.

For information visit https://www.doylestownhistorical.org/ or call 215-345-9430. The Doylestown Historical Society is located at 56 S. Main St., Doylestown.
