$100,000 Challenge Match in support of Children’s Village launched on third anniversary of Tropical Storm Isaias

Doylestown Health Foundation has launched a $100,000 Challenge Match toward the “Fill Our Bucket” initiative in support of the rebuild of Children’s Village on the Doylestown Hospital campus.

Doylestown Health Visionary donors Jeanne and John Hubbard have made a generous commitment that will allow donors to double their impact leading up to the facility’s reopening on Sept. 30.

As ongoing supporters of Children’s Village, the Hubbards continue to make a positive impact while inspiring the local community to join in these efforts. “We give so children can continue to dream big and have the best possible start in the educational process,” said Jeanne Hubbard. “We hope that all of you will be inspired by our hopes, dreams, and commitment to this endeavor.”

The challenge match launched Aug. 4, in recognition of the third anniversary of the EF2 tornado that passed through the Doylestown Hospital campus, ultimately destroying the original Children’s Village facility.

“Soon after news broke that the tornado destroyed Children’s Village, Jeanne Hubbard was one of the first to reach out to offer her help,” said Laura Wortman, vice president and chief advancement officer, Doylestown Health. “It is fitting Jeanne and John continue to lead by example with renewed generous support. Their challenge match will help us close the gap on critically needed funding to finish this project. Every gift to the program is an investment in our future.”

The “Fill Our Bucket” initiative was launched to encourage engagement and involvement from the community in helping “fill the bucket” as the new Children’s Village facility nears completion. Donations from the community will help Doylestown Health outfit the indoor spaces and outdoor playgrounds the reopening of the facility approaches.

Donors and community members are invited to visit www.DoylestownHealthFoundation.org/Bucket to make a gift toward the Hubbard $100K Challenge Match benefiting Children’s Village.

The Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Ceremony for Children’s Village is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30. To learn more about this event or to register, visit www.dh100.org/events.
