DCP Theatre, 795 Ridge Road, Telford, opens its season with the comedy “Lost in Yonkers” by Neil Simon.
Directed by Michelle Rieder, the show runs from Feb. 10 to 19, at 8 p.m. Feb. 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 and 2 p.m. Feb 12 and 19.
“Lost in Yonkers” is a coming-of-age story set in Yonkers, N.Y. Simon’s Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play centers around two brothers who live with their grandmother and their mentally challenged aunt while their father travels, desperately trying to scrape enough money together while working as a salesman to pay off his debts to a loan shark.
Over the course of the play, the young boys learn lessons about love, responsibility and the importance of family that will carry them into adulthood.
