Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,760,617

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on March 2, there were 1,090 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,760,617.
There were 5 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 43,486 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
There are 470,965 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,076,149 individuals who have tested negative to date.
The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

  • Bucks County: 121,952 cases and 1,844 deaths
  • Chester County: 90,651 cases and 1,118 deaths
  • Delaware County: 108,915 cases and 1,826 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 88,836 cases and 1,227 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 149,950 cases and 2,273 deaths
  • Northampton County: 78,875 cases and 1,068 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 304,575 cases and 4,993 deaths
