Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,779,328

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on March 28, there were 722 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,779,328.

There were 8 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 44,180 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

There are 475,211 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,141,614 individuals who have tested negative to date.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

  • Bucks County: 122,796 cases and 1,871 deaths
  • Chester County: 91,382 cases and 1,135 deaths
  • Delaware County: 109,604 cases and 1,857 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 89,190 cases and 1,230 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 151,778 cases and 2,300 deaths
  • Northampton County: 79,299 cases and 1,082 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 307,610 cases and 5,061 deaths
