Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,757,036

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on Feb. 28, there were 2,559 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,757,036.

There were 21 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 43,148216 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

There are 470,155 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,067,651 individuals who have tested negative to date.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

  • Bucks County: 121,858 cases and 1,829 deaths
  • Chester County: 90,567 cases and 1,112 deaths
  • Delaware County: 108,809 cases and 1,819 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 88,773cases and 1,218 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 149,812 cases and 2,267 deaths
  • Northampton County: 78,792 cases and 1,066 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 304,179 cases and 4,965 deaths
