Harrisburg - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on April 5, there were 626 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,784,487.
There was one new death identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 44,348 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
There are 2,308,036 confirmed cases and 476,451 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,159,900 individuals who have tested negative to date.
The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules, and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

  • Bucks County: 123,063 cases and 1,878 deaths
  • Chester County: 91,659 cases and 1,140 deaths
  • Delaware County: 109,891 cases and 1,863 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 89,345 cases and 1,234 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 152,322 cases and 2,305 deaths
  • Northampton County: 79,456 cases and 1,083 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 308,488 cases and 5,070 deaths
