Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on April 4, there were 278 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,783,690.
There were zero new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 44,316 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
There are 2,307,463 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,155,746 individuals who have tested negative to date.
The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules, and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public.

  • Bucks County: 123,026 cases and 1,877 deaths
  • Chester County: 91,619 cases and 1,140 deaths
  • Delaware County: 109,857 cases and 1,863 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 89,321 cases and 1,234 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 152,254 cases and 2,304 deaths
  • Northampton County: 79,432 cases and 1,083 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 308,325 cases and 5,068 deaths
