Total cumulative COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania at 2,752,935

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed that on Feb. 25, there were 1,414 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide cumulative total cases to 2,752,935.

There were 17 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry and reported for a cumulative total of 43,148 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

There are 469,527 who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases. There are 6,059,547 individuals who have tested negative to date.

The department continues to urge Pennsylvanians to follow CDC guidance for wearing a mask where required by law, rules and regulations, including health care, local business and workplace guidance. For the protection of themselves and others, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated, are still encouraged to wear a mask when in public. Bucks County is in an area of substantial transmission. CDC also recommends all individuals wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.

The CDC lists Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia counties as areas of high transmission.

  • Chester County: 90,389 cases and 1,111 deaths
  • Delaware County: 109,698 cases and 1,819 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 88,721 cases and 1,217 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 149,594 cases and 2,264 deaths
  • Northampton County: 78,734 cases and 1,066 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 303,859 cases and 4,960 deaths
