CR South, Pennridge face off in Flyers Cup

Wednesday’s Flyers Cup 2A final at Hatfield Ice Arena, held after the Herald went to print, saw the two Suburban High School Hockey League finalists square off once again.

SHSHL champion and second-seeded Council Rock South advanced to Wednesday’s final by beating No. 3 Boyertown 3-1 in last Thursday’s semifinals. In the other semifinal game, top-seeded Pennridge pummeled No. 4 Downington West 10-1 to earn a rematch with the Golden Hawks, who defeated the Rams 7-2 for the league crown on Feb. 29.
