Christ’s Home recently celebrated 100 years of senior care in Warminster and honored two retiring executives — Chief Financial Officer Dee Bartolanzo and Children’s Campus Maintenance Director Ron Buchanan.
It also marked 120 years of serving disadvantaged children at its annual Legacy Event Oct. 12.
“As we enter our second century of service for senior adults, and over 120 years of care for children and youth, we are prayerful for a continued legacy and mission of love, dignity, compassion, and respect,” said John Bryant, chief executive officer, in a statement. “We also recognize, and wouldn’t be here without, the incredible people who make up the team here at Christ’s Home. Their heart for our mission and years of dedication are inspiring.”
Chief among them on Oct. 12 were Bartolanzo, who served for 32 years, and Buchanan, with 29 years of service. They received “Lifetime Service Awards” at the home’s community center.
Christ’s Home, which was founded in 1903 by Dr. Albert Oetinger and Katharine Krausslach as a faith-based non-denominational organization caring for children in Philadelphia, moved to Warminster in 1907.
In 1923, Christ’s Home purchased St. Stephen’s Farm there and opened a retirement community for senior adults. Today that site encompasses 84 acres and operates independent living cottages, apartments and suites; on-site Skilled Rehab & Nursing, Personal Care, Memory Care and Wellness Services.
