Posted

The Zlock Performing Arts Center presents a unique, one-night-only live holiday concert, “A Holiday Swingin’! A Kat Edmonson Christmas” with award-winning jazz vocalist and songwriter Kat Edmonson.

She will perform swingin’ yuletide favorites such as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “O Christmas Tree” and “Let It Snow” as part of her festive show at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, inside the Gateway Center on the Newtown campus of Bucks County Community College, 275 Swamp Road.

“Having Kat and her longtime jazz band here to welcome in the holidays is absolutely exciting and such a wondrous treat for our community and theater,” said Zlock PAC’s Director of Community Programming & College Events Peter Chiovarou.

Tickets are available at bucks.edu/tickets. VIP ticket options include reserved seats, two drinks and light fare during the pre-show reception at 6 p.m. Parking is free.

Edmonson’s “Holiday Swingin’! A Kat Edmonson Christmas” album was included on the New York Times list of “13 Albums That Revisit (and Redefine!) Holiday Classics” and was described by Jazziz as “impeccably hip.”

“I was inspired to record music that harkened back to my favorite ‘50s and ‘60s holiday tunes. The band and I had a ball swingin’ on all these classic songs!” Edmondson said.
