Baum School of Art showcases adult student creativity

Posted

The Baum School of Art, 510 Linden St., Allentown, shares the artwork of its adult students in an annual exhibition, on now through March 7, in The David E. Rodale and Rodale Family Galleries.

A Third Thursday Artist Reception will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.

The 200 adult students enrolled in the school’s 2023–2024 Winter Session were invited to submit works that they created in class at the school. There are over 125 works of art in a variety of 2D and 3D media, including oil painting, sculpture, pottery, watercolor, pastel, fashion, and more. This exhibition is not only a showcase of students’ artistic achievements, but also a testament to the dedication of Baum’s talented faculty.

The Baum School of Art is committed to providing every student the opportunity to share their artwork with their fellow students and the community through this exhibition. Some students have been attending classes for 20 years or more, while others may just be starting their artistic journeys. Regardless of how long one has been practicing art, the feeling is the same—art is for everyone.
