Posted

Arete Gallery presents a new collection by artist Alexandra von der Gablentz, running until April 30, and featuring a showcase of artwork that draws inspiration from Greek mythology and classical literature as well as local natural landscapes.

The exhibition at Arete Gallery, 122 S. Main St., New Hope, features over 20 new pieces by the local artist, who grew up in Germany.

“Alexandra’s masterful creations delve into the complex narratives of often overlooked female characters, shedding light on their untold stories,” said Kim I. Plyler, gallery owner. “Through her artwork, she unveils a world of powerful questions and emotions, inviting viewers to explore the depths of their own imagination. We are excited to present her work at Arete Gallery.”

The exhibition will feature a special event from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 1, providing an exclusive opportunity to meet the artist herself. Join in for an evening filled with art, live music, and conversations. Alexandra von der Gablentz will be available to answer questions and discuss her artistic process.

Adding to the ambiance, the Blue Wave Ramblers, a collective of musicians from Bucks County, will provide an acoustic performance. The band’s eclectic repertoire includes Americana, Bluegrass, Grateful Dead, and Classic Rock.
