Are government funds available for tending falling trees?

Posted

In the July 21 Issue of the Herald, I found it interesting to learn that the Solebury Township Board of Supervisors passed a resolution urging the New Jersey Department of Transportation to reconsider plans to encase the cliffs along the Devil’s Tea Table adjacent to Route 29.

The funding required some $52 million, which seemed to be coming from both New Jersey state and federal grants aimed at protecting drivers from falling rocks.

It immediately struck me as to why we cannot address the danger from falling trees along River Road, Route 32, in Pennsylvania with similar sourced, state and federal, funding?
