Another success for Bucks Fever FilmFest show

Posted

This year’s Bucks Fever FilmFest featured a wide range of activities for film lovers, including a filmmaker panel discussion and the screening of 13 finalist films, where all the scripts were read by professional actors in front of a live audience.
Winning films and those with honorable mention were screened at the County Theater in Doylestown.
Taking first place in the screenwriting competition was “Every Other Night” by Mark Cline.

Best of Fest (film) winner was “The Contract Musical” by Chris Cole.
Film Crawl Fan Favorite was “Newman: From Cancer to a New Man” by Anthony Cantu of Pennsylvania State University.

The Doug Torres Producer’s Choice was awarded to “Last Night in Vegas” at College Music Video.
Begun in 1999, at a planning meeting of the Bucks Fever Advisory Council of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, the film festival has been a great success, offering filmmakers from Bucks County and the Greater Delaware Valley an opportunity to showcase their short films. Works include narrative, documentary, animation and music video, among others.
“Thank you again for accepting it was a real dream come true for all of us to see one of our films on the big screen and we can’t thank you enough for giving us that opportunity,” said filmmaker Billy Kubacki.
The sponsor was C&N; the co-producer sponsor was Silverman Partnerships and the associate producer sponsor was PECO.
