The Alexandria Equestrian Association's 2023 Alexandria Barn Tour is coming up Sunday. Hosted by the all-volunteer non-profit organization, it celebrates historic barns and their role in shaping rural America.
“Barns are timeless symbols of our rural heritage and the heart of American farming,” said Devon LeCompte, a barn tour committee member. “With their enduring grace and significance, barns stand as iconic symbols of rural life, and this tour aims to honor that legacy."
The self-driving tour features six barns and begins at Alexandria Park, at 242 Little York Mt. Pleasant Road in Milford N.J. Touring hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 online at https://alexandriabarntour2023.eventbrite.com and $25 at the door.
Admission includes a map and a guidebook containing information about the barns’ history.
