The African American Museum of Bucks County (AAMBC) will host a Community Brunch and Learn, both in-person and virtually, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Nov. 4.

The Brunch and Learn will include an educational virtual tour of many of the Underground Railroad sites in Bucks County. The event is open to the public at the First Baptist Church of Langhorne, 215 E. Richardson Ave., Langhorne. Tickets to the event can be purchased on Eventbrite. AAMBC members can purchase tickets for $10 and nomembers for $20.

This event will delve into the courageous stories of those who sought freedom at the UGRR railroad sites and those who risked their lives to assist them.

Engaging speakers will share captivating tales and insights, shedding light on the struggles and triumphs of the Underground Railroad. Discover the secret codes, hidden routes, and courageous acts of heroism that helped enslaved individuals escape to freedom.

Executive Director and President of the AAMBC Linda Salley shared her thoughts on the upcoming event. “We are delighted to be hosting this brunch and learn for the community. It is our hope that those who join us walk away with new information of important moments of our past, and of course, a full stomach.”
