The torrential storm that killed seven people, including two young children, in Upper Makefield and flooded homes and yards in Lower Makefield a year ago has not been forgotten.

The Flood Insurance Premium Assistance Task Force that Gov. Josh Shapiro created in December will meet Wednesday in one of the municipalities most impacted by the Bucks County summer floods.

At the Yardley Inn this week, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro signed a new House bill to assemble a task force to recommend policies to make flood insurance more affordable for Pennsylvanians.
