Earth Day in May

Posted

Join Heritage Conservancy and local partners from Lower Bucks County for a celebration of the community and of the Earth.

Enjoy the springtime beauty of our Croydon Woods Nature Preserve along with games, activities, crafts, and more. Partners will include organizations and representatives from the Bristol/Croydon area, including, Bristol Township Parks and Recreation, Silver Lake Nature Center, Pennsylvania Environmental Council, the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, Keystone Elementary School, and more.

Each table will offer an interactive activity for families to participate in along with our “Nature Explorer Guide for Kids”. Our Nature Explorer Guide is a booklet of activities and questions to help kids stop and visit each table. Children who fill up their booklet with stamps from visiting the tables will receive a prize on their way out.

Heritage Conservancy will also be hosting several activities, including demonstrations of our EnviroScape to teach families about the importance of keeping our watershed clean, Earth Day themed crafts for kids to take home, an information table about the impacts of ATVs on the environment, and information about the history of our Croydon Woods preserve. Several nature and Earth Day themed nature walks and talks will engage and educate guests at this family-friendly day!
