YMCA offers free summer camp for teenage girls YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is offering a free summer camp program for teen girls in grades seven through 10.

Empower U camp is designed to enhance self-esteem through physical activity, leadership, volunteering and more. The Empower U camp is being offered this year at the Doylestown (July 26-30 and Aug. 2-6), Fairless Hills (June 28-July 2), and Quakertown locations (Aug. 16-20).

Empower U is a weeklong camp designed to strengthen the self-esteem of teen girls who participate. Participants will engage in uplifting workshops and learn skills related to wellness and well-being. Some program activities include journaling, yoga and activities designed to teach about healthy eating. A free three-month membership to the Y is included for all teens who participate in the program as well as access to the Y’s virtual wellness platform, Y Wellness 24/7 featuring live and on-demand classes taught by YMCA instructors from across the nation, available anytime online.
