YMCA Infinity Gymnastics teams achieve high accolades in state competition, move on to nationals

Infinity Gymnastics teams from YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties returned from Pennsylvania state level competitions with nearly 200 medals across two weekends of meets in April.

Levels 6, 7, Gold and Platinum Infinity gymnasts competed April 15-16, hosted by the Greensburg YMCA, followed by level 3 and Silver competition at YMCA of Greater Philadelphia in Phoenixville April 22-23. YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties will take 45 Infinity gymnasts to the YMCA National Gymnastics Championships in Cincinnati June 21-25. 

Infinity Xcel Platinum and Level 6 teams placed second overall in the state competition. The Y’s Infinity teams garnered 10 first place titles over the first weekend in Greensburg, where 230 gymnasts representing 14 PA YMCAs gathered for state competition. Dahlia Brose, 12, from the Xcel Gold team, brought home the first-place all-around title, as well as in vault and beam individual competitions. At level 7, Ellie Brown, 15, won first place in the all-around, as well as in individual bars competition.

In Phoenixville, 286 gymnasts competed from 14 different Pennsylvania YMCAs. YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties was represented by 28 Infinity gymnasts, including Level 3 gymnast Bailey Lonergan, 12, who placed first on vault, bars, beam floor and all-around; Level 3 gymnast Grace Lynch, nine, won first place on vault, beam, floor and all-around competitions; and Xcel Silver gymnast Fairah Bonner, 10, who also placed first on vault, bars and the all-around competitions.

– Level 6 placed second as a team in the state

– Level 7 placed third as a team in the state

– Xcel Platinum placed second as a team in the state

– Xcel Gold placed fourth as a team in the state

– Level 6: Giada Arcade (age 12), first place on beam

– Level 6: Samantha Lafontaine (age 16), first place on beam

– Level 6: Zoe Smith (age 14), first place on floor

– Level 7: Ellie Brown (age 15), first place bars and first place in the all-around

– Xcel Platinum: Rhea Liddington (age 15), first place on beam

– Xcel Gold: Dahlia Brose (age 12), first place on vault, beam, and in the all-around

– Xcel Gold: Bella Price (age 14), first place on beam

– Level 3 placed third in the state

– Xcel Silver placed fourth in the state

– Level 3: Grace Lynch (age 9), first place on vault, beam, floor, and the all-around

– Level 3: Shaina Freed (age 9) first place on bars

– Level 3: Kayla Dinh-Pham (age 11), first place on vault

– Level 3: Bailey Lonergan (age 12), first place on vault, bars, beam, floor and all-around

– Level 3: Ava Ortiz (age 10), first place on beam

– Level 3: Shadelynn Sandler (age 12), first place on beam

– Xcel Silver: Nora Steinberg (age 7), first place on vault

– Xcel Silver: Zoe Bicksler (age 8), first place on vault

– Xcel Silver: Fairah Bonner (age 10), first place on vault, bars, and the all-around
