Yardley Friends Meeting slates labyrinth celebration and movie nights

Posted

Now that summer is on its way, Yardley Friends Meeting wants to extend a special invitation to all who want to celebrate with them at 65 N. Main St., Yardley.

On May 13, Yardley Friends Meeting will celebrate the labyrinth and the first month of movie night.

Starting 6 p.m. there will be an introduction to the labyrinth, a picnic, and a chance to walk the labyrinth and relax. Children can run and play in the yard. As the sun goes down, all are invited to watch the movie “Soul.”

Yardley Friends Quaker Meeting members gathered stone and built the labyrinth. It was finished last fall, and members of the community are welcome to come walk the labyrinth. Some already have.

Come enjoy the picnic provided by the Meeting, while it lasts, or bring your own snacks and beverage of choice.

This will be the second year of Movie Night. Along with Yardley Borough Parks and Recreation, YFM will have movies outside for the whole family on the second Saturday from May through August.

The scheduled movies are: “Soul,” May 13, rain date May 20; “Finding Nemo,” June 10, rain date June 17; “Enchanted,” July 8, rain date July 15; “E.T.” Aug. 12, rain date Aug. 19.

Come at 6 p.m. for the celebration of the labyrinth then as the sun goes down take a seat on the lawn and watch the movie. Come later if you wish. All is free and all are welcome.
