A new co-working and event space business called FZ Works is up and running on the second floor of a building at 9 S. Main St. in Yardley.
Designed by owner and longtime Yardley resident Charles Barrett, the business provides a “beautiful space where professionals can work, collaborate and host corporate and social events,” according to a press release.
The business opened in early April but recently held an official celebration and ribbon cutting attended by U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick; state Rep. Perry Warren; several borough officials including council members Uri Feiner and David Appelbaum; and Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Joseph Szafran and board Chair Kristen Farry.
For various levels of membership, workers can take advantage of the FZ Works space that includes “cutting edge technology and equipment and super fast Wi-Fi.” Among the many other amenities are walnut-topped tables, numerous standing work stations, lounge, bar-height seating and conference, podcast and quiet rooms that can be reserved for private use.
Regular hours at the business are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and members can also enjoy perks like free coffee, tea and snacks. After hours and on weekends, FZ Works space can be rented for events like parties, baby or wedding showers and milestone celebrations.
“So many companies now offer remote and hybrid work options, so having a co-work space close to home is very popular among modern professionals,” Barrett said. “Yardley Borough is really a special place and we look forward to growing and becoming a hub for businesses and professionals in Bucks County who are looking for a friendly, beautiful office environment with the resources to get work done efficiently, and the ability to recapture a quality of life that was missing with long commutes.”
