Wrightstown Winter Market slated for Middletown Grange Fairgrounds

Posted

The Wrightstown Winter Farmers Market opens outdoors Saturday, Dec. 11, with 30 vendors from 10 a.m. to noon at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds, 576 Penns Park Road in Wrightstown.
A special Holiday Market will be held Dec. 18, and the market will continue from January through April on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month: Jan. 8 and 22; Feb. 12 and 26; March 12 and 26; and April 9 and 23.
According to Market Manager Cheryl Gilmore, “It’s the perfect place to find food and gifts for the holidays and fresh, locally grown goodies throughout the winter season.”
The market will be held at the show ring area beyond where the regular season market has been held. This area will allow shoppers and vendors plenty of parking and room to shop comfortably and walk on cinders rather than wet or snowy grass.

The Winter Market will host 25-32 vendors with a diverse product array—freshly harvested local vegetables, fruit, hormone and antibiotic free pasture raised beef, chicken, pork, dairy and eggs. It will also feature fresh baked breads and sweets, raw local honey, pickles, fresh soups, artisan cheeses, locally roasted coffee, soaps, herbal tinctures, nut butters, alpaca woolens, local pottery, and all the prepared foods that the community has come to love and count on.
“This will be our first year holding the winter market outside at the Middletown Grange and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Gilmore. “There is a great lineup of vendors offering fresh local products all winter long. We are very grateful to the Middletown Grange for donating this great space for us to use. The combination of outstanding local food, dedicated farmers and producers, a friendly sense of community and a great location creates a special place to shop.”
Details about this season’s vendors can be found on the market’s newsletter and website, wrightstownfarmersmarket.org. Follow the market on social media for the latest market news and updates.
