Women in Business Summit to benefit and celebrate local women entrepreneurs

Posted

On Oct. 19, during National Women in Business Month, a new networking event will debut, sponsored by Karen Thompson of LSL Brands, presented by Sarah Peters of Keller Williams and hosted by Peddler’s Village.

Over 100 local women entrepreneurs are expected to converge at Peddler’s Village for an evening of networking, speakers, food, drinks and fun. The night will also serve as a fundraiser for the local cancer community through Kin Wellness and Support Center.

Business Coach Robyn Graham will be the keynote speaker that evening. Speakers also include Gina Santoro of Giovanni’s Fine Fashion and Karen Thompson of LSL Brands.

Tickets are limited, but still available. Tickets can be purchased at www.welcometokin.org.

The one-night event will take place in the event space at Peddler’s Village above the Cock-n-Bull Restaurant. The evening will begin with a sip n’ shop throughout the village at women-owned stores, then networking with hors d’oeuvres, drinks, raffles and featured speakers.

“I am always looking for ways to connect to the local women in our community to share our ideas and to grow both personally and professionally. We should look to encourage, support and inspire each other,” Thompson said. “The Bucks County Women in Business Summit is an amazing platform and one I am happy to sponsor. Supporting our local Bucks County cancer community through this event is a worthy cause near to my heart.”

Peters said, “Given that October is National Women in Business Month, I was eager to bring growth-minded people together to meet, share and give back. There are so many impressive female entrepreneurs in our area, not only will we come together to learn from and inspire each other in our respective careers, but 100% of the funds we raise this evening will directly empower and uplift local cancer patients and their caregivers through Kin Wellness and Support Center.”

Added Keith and Kristina Fenimore of Kin, “We were so happy to collaborate with Peddler’s Village and utilize their amazing event space. Sarah Peters has been a volunteer, donor and sponsor at Kin and has amazing networking skills. We knew an event of this magnitude would be in capable hands and we look forward to everyone experience a fulfilling night that will benefit our nonprofit.”
