Winners named at Stover Mill

The Stover Mill Gallery, the longest continuously running art gallery in Bucks County, hosted its eighth juried art exhibition opening reception on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The 2019 jurors who selected the award winners were Judith Sutton and Lauren Travis.

There are 52 regional artists featured in the exhibition this year. The juried exhibition continues to run each Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. until Nov. 3.

The following artists received awards: Best of Show: Tom Chesar, “Rockland Alley”; Larry Chestnut, “Utah Beach Landscape”; Armor Keller, “Tropical Memories”; Kimberlee Nentwig, “Mellow Yellow”; Jeanne Chesterton, “Conversation”; Jas Szygiel, “Old Ford”; Steve Zazenski, “Barn at Carversville”; Reed Mitchell, “Light Returning”; Betz Green, “The Evangelist”; Kathleen Amon, “Pele” (Hawaiian Goddess of Fire); Marg Vail, “Mid-morning Moment”; and Alice Seufert, “Peter’s Delight.”

Since 1959, the Stover Mill Gallery, located at 852 River Road, Erwinna, has severed as a showcase for outstanding artists active in the robust Delaware Valley art scene. The gallery offers the public an opportunity to see original works of art in a building of historical and architectural interest with a dramatic view of the Delaware River.

The juried exhibition is sponsored by the 501 (c)(3) nonprofit Tinicum Civic Association.
