William J. Quinn

William J. Quinn (Bill), a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather, was called to Heaven on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Tidewell Hospice Facility in Venice, Fla.

Bill was born and raised in Kintnersville, Pa. Most of his life he lived in Upper Black Eddy, Pa., then spent his retirement of 32 years in Englewood, Fla.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Quinn (Kimenhour) of 65 years, his daughter Lucinda Ortiz (Ron), his daughter Diane Baxter (Jeff) and his son Vincent Quinn. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bill was proceeded in death by his daughters Mary Quinn and Beverly Kramer (Keith).

Bill was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Kintnersville, Pa. He was also a parishioner of St. Francis in Englewood, Fla. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus both in Pennsylvania and Florida.

Bill’s passion for antique cars began at a young age and lasted his entire life. He also had a passion for the great outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Bill loved people! He would strike up a conversation with anyone he saw. But his greatest enjoyment in life was his family and friends.

Bill served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill’s memory may be sent to “The Wounded Warriors Project.”
