Whitehouse Wind Symphony presents free outdoor concerts in Hunterdon, Somerset counties

The Whitehouse Wind Symphony, a community band under the direction of James P. Sheeley Jr., presents four free outdoor concerts this June and July.

The first concert took place June 3 in Bedminster, N.J. The second concert will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds, a.k.a. South County Park, 1207 Route 179, Ringoes, N.J. This concert is part of the eighth annual Hunterdon Community Day fair taking place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day.

Hunterdon Community Day is sponsored by the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce and Hunterdon County, and features a wide range of family-friendly activities, including a petting zoo, pony rides, reptile show, tethered balloon rides, games, demonstrations, food vendors, and other activities. Limited seating for the concert will be available, but audience members are welcome to bring their own chairs.

The third concert will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at White Oak Park, 235 Baird Street, Branchburg, N.J. Bring picnic blankets and chairs. The fourth and final concert of the season will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, July 7, at the Quarry at the Red Mill Museum Village, 56 Main St., Clinton, N.J. Bring picnic blankets and chairs.

In the event of inclement weather or public health emergency, the announcement to postpone or cancel any of these concerts will be made on the band’s website (whitehousewindsymphony.org), and on its social media pages.
