Only signed letters will be used and a contact phone number must be submitted with letters. Letters that contain slanderous or profane language will be rejected or the text will be cut. The Herald is a nonpartisan publication that aims to print only factual accounts. Letters are readers’ opinions.

A personal solution to abortion dilemma

While I, too, was disgusted by the letter from Don and Barbara Landry (”A personal solution to the abortion dilemma,” June 30), I would like to thank the Herald for printing it.

Our First Amendment allows everyone to express opinions and as much as some of what people think and believe is disturbing and hard to hear, I would rather know about it than not. Unbiased journalism informs us.
