Watercolorist Carol Corbett is Phoenix Art Supplies & Framing’s Artist of the Month in February
A graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, Corbett studied graphic design and advertising. She spent the whole of her working career as an art director, only returning to painting two years ago.
Once back in the studio Corbett was drawn to toward watercolor. She studied the specific qualities of watercolor paint and experimented in techniques to incorporate them into her individual vision.
Working on larger paper with single graphic images, drawing naturally from her practiced eye for graphic design, Corbett is keeping her work modern and bold. She is currently teaching watercolor at the Doylestown Art League.
Corbett will be available for a Meet and Greet from 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Phoenix Art Supplies & Framing, 1810 S. Easton Road, Doylestown. Chocolate and wine will be on offer. For information, call 215-345-0980.
