Warrington Township hosts Community Day

Warrington Township will host its annual Community Day from noon to dusk Saturday, Sept. 24 at John Paul Park at Lower Nike, 301 Folly Road.
The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 25.
There will be over a dozen groups providing entertainment and activities for families and children of all ages. Activities include: rock wall, rock and roll racing, bungee jumping, bouncy houses, petting zoo, pony rides, body art and live entertainment at the bandstand.
Food vendors include Chick-Fil-A, Olde City Kettle Corn, Sal’s Pizza, Stix 2 Go, Warrington Rotary Club (hamburgers and hotdogs), Rita’s Water Ice, KC Funnel Cake, Humpty Dumplings and more.
Warrington Township Police and Emergency Services will be on site with vehicles for photo ops and to answer questions. There will also be K-9 unit demonstrations at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

An ATM will be on the premises for residents who might have forgotten to bring their cash.
Township Board of Supervisors will be on hand to answer questions from residents in the first tent.
The John Austin Band begins at 6 p.m. and fireworks will follow at dusk at Lions Pride Park, 3129 Bradley Road (on the other side of Folly Road). Food will be available on site. Bring your own chair and blanket. Light ups, including sabers and fibre optic wands, will be on sale for children of all ages.
Parking will be available at Lions Pride Park with shuttle buses to John Paul Park at Lower Nike running all day. The new pedestrian walkway between Lions Pride Park and John Paul Park at Lower Nike is also available.
