Voices Chorale NJ hosts summer sing, social and auditions

Posted

Voices Chorale NJ invites all singers to join the group for an open summer sing featuring excerpts from its upcoming 2023-2024 repertoire, including Saint-Saens’ “Christmas Oratorio” and Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass.”

Scores will be provided, and light refreshments will be served during the event at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at Music Together Worldwide Headquarters, 225 Pennington-Hopewell Road, Hopewell, N.J. Admission is free and open to the public; donations are welcome.

It’s an opportunity for singers to practice sight-reading, meet VCNJ’s director, Dr. David A.McConnell, and learn some history and context about the compositions.

Meet other singers and consider setting up an audition to join the chorale. Those interested in joining Voices Chorale NJ may audition that evening by contacting Paula Mirabile: paulamirabile@verizon.net. All voice parts are welcome to audition, but tenors and bass/baritones are especially encouraged to audition.

Further information is available at https://www.voiceschoralenj.org.

Voices Chorale NJ will welcome the community to its summer sing and social, and invite singers to audition.
