Virginia Louise Beyer “Ginny” of New Hope, Pa., passed away at her residence on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023. She was 79.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to the late Howard and Lillian (Gallagher) Burt, Ginny resided in West Bloomfield, Mich., before moving to New Hope, Pa., 36 years ago.
She was the beloved wife of 43 years to Nixon Lee Beyer “Lee”; devoted mother of Beth Suter (Michael) and Mark Thompson; dear sister of Gregory Burt (Grace) and the late Noel Burt; loving grandmother Julia and Emily Suter; loving stepmother of Kristen Avent (Daniel), and Nick Beyer.
Ginny was formerly employed as a property administrator and formerly participated as a member of the VIA of Doylestown Hospital. She loved to read, was a fabulous cook, and was always ready to play a game or two or three. She cherished her time together at home with her husband and their beloved pups; loved entertaining, cruising, dancing, and, especially, laughing. She lit up a room and treated everyone she came across with such kindness and respect.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 N. Main St., Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 from 10:30 a.m-12 p.m. to celebrate Ginny’s life with friends and family. Following the memorial will be lunch at Ginny and Lee’s home from 12:30-2:30 pm.
