VIA’s story coming to County Theater

Posted

Editor's Note: Following publication of this piece, the screening was cancelled, according to the Village Improvement Associations of Doylestown.

The Village Improvement Association of Doylestown and the County Theater will bring the story of the founding of the VIA and Doylestown Hospital to a wider audience Monday.

County Theater will screen “VOICES: A History of the VIA” at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The evening showing will be followed by a Q&A session.

The hour-long video comes from a July performance of VOICES, scripted by VIA member and author Joy Nash, at Phillips Mill Community Association.

Doylestown Hospital is the sole U.S. hospital system to have been founded and still governed by a secular women’s association.
