VFW Post dedicates flag to Hidden Meadows

Posted

Members of John Rivers Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11322 and its auxiliary dedicated an American flag to Hidden Meadows in Sellersville Jan. 19.

The veterans at Hidden Meadows were presented lap blankets, handknit hats and prayer hearts.

Earlier in January members of the VFW’s nursing home committee went to Valley Manor in Coopersburg and presented veterans there lap blankets and cards.

After the Sunday meeting in January, a St. Isidore student named Erica Gildea read her Patriot’s Pen essay to those in attendance for the post’s annual Soup Sunday.

On Sunday, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m., a speaker will discuss the Tour of Honor at John Rivers Memorial VFW Post 11322, 41 Belmont Ave., Quakertown.

At 2 p.m. March 16, the post will host a program on World War II. The guest speakers will be Frank and Lanetter Peiffer.

Both events are free to the public.

Call 215-529-0500 or 267-992-4973 and leave a message. The post would like to have a head count for attendance.
