Union Chill proud to support Lambertville’s ShadFest 2024

Posted

Union Chill Cannabis Company in Lambertville, N.J., will officially serve as Premier Sponsor for ShadFest 2024, celebrating its 41st anniversary this spring.

The annual festival, featuring art, fish, food and fun, is set for April 20-21.

“ShadFest is a highly anticipated event here in Lambertville that is rooted in the town’s history and traditions. It is an honor for Union Chill to support this special event that our community cherishes so deeply and appropriately occurs on 4/20 this year,” said Matt Borish, vice president of marketing at Union Chill. April 20 is a holiday celebrated by cannabis fans.

ShadFest is a two-day festival filled with hand-crafted art, jewelry, home goods, a variety of food, music and fun for the whole family. This year, attendees over the age of 21 can take advantage of a shuttle running from downtown Lambertville to the locally-owned dispensary to see Union Chill for themselves.

“ShadFest attracts people from across the tri-state area for a day of fun-filled activities. It’s an important event for our Lambertville businesses, and we are grateful for Union Chill’s support this year as Premier Sponsor to continue this tradition,” said Lisa Voorhees, president of the Greater Lambertville Chamber of Commerce.

The festival, which attracts hundreds of locals and tourists and is celebrating its 41st year, is named after the American Shad that swarm the Delaware River each spring on their migration from the Atlantic Ocean to spawn. During this time of year, locals can be found fishing for shad on Lewis Island, the only Shad fishery left on the Delaware River.
