Two St. Andrew’s parishioners set to be ordained

Posted

Monsignor Michael C. Picard, the pastor of Saint Andrew Catholic Parish in Newtown, announced the ordination of two parishioners: the Rev. Andrew Auletta and the Rev. Henry Graebe.

Archbishop Nelson Perez will perform the ordination. This is the first time in the history of the parish that two candidates will be ordained at the same time, a momentous occasion for the parish community.

Both men will be ordained at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, 18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Everyone is invited to attend in person or to participate prayerfully from home via livestream video. The ordination will be livestreamed on CatholicPhilly.com and on Archbishop Perez’s Facebook page.

Later, on Saturday afternoon, CatholicPhilly.com will post the assignments for the newly ordained priests at local parishes.

Graebe will serve his first Mass at the main church of Saint Andrew Catholic Parish at noon Sunday, May 22. Auletta will serve his first Mass at the main church of Saint Andrew Catholic Parish at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 22. All parishioners are welcome to attend either or both Masses.
