Two people were critically injured in a vehicle and dump truck collision in the 900 block of Swamp Road at approximately 11:49 a.m. Friday, Newtown Township Police said.
Both occupants of the vehicle were critically injured and the operator of the truck received moderate injuries, police said. All were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by medical personnel.
Police said it initially appears that speed and failure to maintain lane of travel by the passenger car’s operator was the cause of the crash. Swamp Road remained closed until the truck could be relocated.
Police did not identify those involved in the crash.
